Fortune Fabrics is a dobby and jacquard fabric manufacturer. Fortune Fabrics was founded in November 1949 by Robert Fortinsky. Initially the company wove rayon and silks for dress goods. In 1955, the company entered the neckwear business. Hard work enabled the business to continue expanding and in 1967 the company started weaving upholstery fabrics and added the selling arm of the company, Wyoming Weavers. In 2012 Mr. Fortinsky passed away but Mr. Fortinsky’s daughter,Jill, and her kids continue the tradition of a family business. This upholstery mill continues to satisfy manufacturers with its personalized service, custom styling, fast turn around and low minimum orders. Already prized for styling flexibility made possible by its small size, the mill strengthened its assets by enhancing its dobby equipment, adding jacquard looms and new warping equipment. Fortune fabrics goods are made with a combination of yarns: polyester, olefins and nylons, to give the most innovative styling on the contract market today.
